Bringing this ancient species back to sustainable population levels requires the effort of many people and communities. Over 25 stakeholders representing government, state and tribal agencies, industry, environmental and stewardship groups, and the local public are currently working together by participating on the Initiative's two committees: the Technical Working Group and the Community Working Group.
